The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office issued an update regarding the status of mass COVID-19 testing following last week’s announcement of a detention deputy testing positive to the virus.
In the update, the sheriff’s office stated that mass testing for COVID-19 through the Arkansas Department of Health had been completed. Around 350 tests were administered, and resulted in one additional employee and two inmates testing positive for COVID-19. This, in addition to the one who tested positive before the mass testing took place.
The two employees are on leave until they are medically cleared. The two inmates are in isolation from the rest of the jail population.
