It was also reported on Saturday, April 24, that Gurley had driven his mother’s car to visit a friend in Hackett. After visiting a few hours, he told the friend he was going outside to smoke. The friend stated he went to bed, and when awoke early on Sunday, April 25, Gurley was gone.

It is believed he walked away, as his mother’s car was still at the friend’s residence. SCSO investigators are following all possible leads, but have not found Gurley yet. The surrounding area has been canvassed. One witness stated they thought they saw a man near Highway 45 in Hackett at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 25.

Gurley was last seen wearing black jeans and black shoes. He is described as a white male, 145 lbs., 5’9”, with blue eyes. If anyone knows where Gurley is or has heard from him, please call the Fort Smith Sheriff’s Office at 479-783-1051.
