When people ask me about the weather right now, I usually just refer to the ‘ole reliable – “it’s going to rain soon”. I’m not joking when I say this either, we simply can’t catch a break around here! As I type this article, steady rain is moving in from the west. Bad news, we’ll deal with it today and into Saturday morning.
The rain could linger throughout the day on Saturday with maybe some rumbles of thunder. I’m not expecting any organized severe weather for our area however.
So, when does the rain go away and allow us to dry out some? We MAY have a chance to dry out briefly on Sunday afternoon. That is before rain chances return on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday AND FRIDAY. I’ve posted about this on Facebook/Twitter and nothing has changed, this is going to be a soggy stretch for us.
The latest 7-day rainfall totals has our area with over 5 inches of rainfall, which I believe completely. We could have locally higher totals, depending on where the heavier rainfall setups occur. Never drive into flooded roadways.
Remember you can follow me on Facebook and Twitter for continued weather related updates, this is very important when severe weather threatens our area.
