Focus on Greenwood met today, Wednesday, September 16 at Bell Park. Discussions regarding plans for Halloween dominated the meeting.

The large scale trick-or-treating event will take place with social distancing provisions in place. According to Tammy Briley, Parks Director, they are coordinating a drive thru event, in which cars will receive a sticker indicating the number of children in the vehicle. Those cars will stop along the Halloween Trail and utilize a butterfly net to receive goodies from booths set up by local businesses and school organizations.

The festivities are slated to take place at Bell Park on Halloween, Saturday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m. This drive thru only event is sponsored by the city, chamber of commerce, police and fire department.

Any business, church or organization who would like to have a booth/station on the Trail should contact JoElla Skaggs at Greenwood High School 479-996-4141 or Greenwood City Hall 479-996-2742.

Any business, church or organization that would like to donate wrapped/labeled candy may do so by also contacting the high school office or Greenwood City Hall.

Focus on Greenwood member, Richard McKinney.
