Monster Sandwiches

Sometimes a steak dinner may not be what’s on the menu, but when my kids find out we are having monster sandwiches for supper, they act like they been handed a filet mignon! These sandwiches will be every meat lover’s dream! This is one of the simplest dinners to make, and I always have left overs for the next day to take for lunch at work.

1lb of sliced Black Forest Ham lunch meat
1lb of sliced Smoked Turkey Breast lunch meat
1lb of Hickory Smoked Bacon
Sliced White American Cheese
Sliced Yellow American Cheese
2 Packages of Hamburger Buns
3 Tablespoons of Melted Margarine
½ teaspoon of Garlic Salt

Line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Lay pieces of bacon flat and separated on the pan. Bake in the oven according to directions. Most directions are to cook for 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Once cooked, drain the bacon of excess grease and set aside.
Once bacon has been cooked and removed from oven, place your oven temperature at 400 degrees.
In a large skillet, open the package of ham and separate pieces of the lunch meat. Lay in the skillet and careful to not overlap on top of each other. On medium heat, sear the meat just enough to warm and brown just a bit. Remove from skillet, and add the turkey next doing the same. Once all meat is cooked. Line another baking pan with aluminum foil, and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Lay bottom buns all down on your pan. Next, layer sandwiches on the bun in the following order: 1 slice of White American cheese, 2 slices of bacon, 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of turkey, and last 1 slice of Yellow American cheese. Then, melt the 3 tablespoons of margarine and add garlic salt. Brush the tops of the top bun with the garlic butter and place on top of the sandwiches.
Place the pan of sandwiches into the over and heat for approximately 4 minutes or until cheeses are melted.
Remove from oven and enjoy! Pair with your favorite bag of chips and a sliced pickle, and you’ll have a monster of a good time!

Side Note: This makes 16 sandwiches. The leftover sandwiches I cover individually with saran wrap. You will need to refrigerator and when you are ready to eat, remove wrapping, and place in the microwave for 30 to 40 seconds to warm up for lunch the next day!
