Blotting Out the 2020 Year End Review

This is the time of year I begin combing through the pages of papers past to highlight some of the stories from 2020. On the eve of 2021, I have decided against that review.

Why? COVID-19 related news has dominated the media. We are beat over the head with daily numbers and repetitive cautions.

Spurred by a conversation with my mom when she asked me, “Do you think it’s good for a person to listen to that day after day?” My response, “I choose faith over fear.” I also believe God gave us a brain to use. I try to find balance in that.

The fact is COVID-19 is the top story of the year, the highs, the directives, the mandates. It’s been a tough year, and if you’re like me, I don’t care to relive it. Instead I want to focus on the hope for a better 2021.

My prayer for you this Christmas Eve is that you find peace this holiday season. An enduring peace that will guide and comfort you as we enter another year. God bless you all!
