From the Greenwood Police Department:
On August 25 a Greenwood officer observed a green Honda Accord parked near the roadway at 305 S. Gunther. The officer ran the vehicle license plate and it returned as a stolen vehicle. The officer parked in an area where he could maintain a visual. While waiting for more officers to arrive, he observed a white male, 20-25 years old walking around the vehicle and on two occasions, leaned inside of the vehicle from the driver’s side door as if he was placing something in or retrieving something from the vehicle. Approximately 25-30 minutes later the officer observed the same male walking around the car and then walk toward a house holding a red gas container. Later, the vehicle left the area, and was seen pulling into a driveway on Old Hackett Road. Another officer nearby began searching the area. The man, later identified as Eric Little, 21 of Greenwood, was spotted at the Dollar General store. The officer made contact with Little and advised him of the reason for being detained. Little was later taken to the Greenwood Police Department where he was positively identified. While being questioned, the officer stated Little had jumbled thoughts, and answers that did not match up with the question. Eventually, Little stated that he did not wish to answer any further questions. Little was transported to the SCADC where he was booked on theft by receiving $500-$2500.
**The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.**
